Our Easton on the Hill setting is made up of a variety of unique spaces, each designed to suit the different ages and stages of the children in our care. Our baby room is located within part of the former Easton on the Hill Primary School, offering a warm and settled space for our youngest children, while our older children enjoy a separate, purpose-built Norwegian-style log cabin. As the nursery has grown, we’ve also added a dedicated preschool building, giving our older children a space all of their own.
Outdoors, the fun continues! Our playground features imaginative painted road markings for little ones to explore on wheels, alongside two large grassed areas and a sandpit for hours of outdoor play. Within our onsite forest school area, Buddleia Grove, children also have access to a large yurt, along with dedicated digging and growing spaces, all set within a beautiful, calm woodland oasis.
Guided by dedicated “Key Workers” assigned from day one, children build strong relationships and receive personalised care tailored to their individual learning and behavioural needs.
The Little Lane Nursery (Easton on the Hill) has 3 rooms for our babies, toddlers and preschoolers: Seedlings Room, Saplings Room and Woodland Room. We also have a large garden and playground, as well as our own onsite forest school site, Buddleia Grove, providing children with regular access to nature and outdoor exploration right on our doorstep.
The Seedlings Room is a wonderfully warm and welcoming space for our smallest family members! With tall ceilings and lots of natural light, this beautiful open room includes a cosy eating area, a lovely messy play zone, and a peaceful, separate sleeping area, complete with beautiful, bespoke full-sized cots for sweet dreams.
We've decorated Seedlings in a charming vintage style, because we believe it should feel just like home something that's especially important for our littlest ones. While they sleep, children are closely and lovingly monitored throughout, following Early Years Foundation Stage guidance on Safer Sleep. The room also benefits from air conditioning, so little ones stay cool, comfortable and happy all year round!
Our little ones also enjoy their very own undercover artificial lawn, meaning they can get outside and enjoy the fresh air all year round, whatever the weather has in store!
The Saplings Room is home to our children aged 2 years and above, set within a purpose-built Norwegian-style log cabin. Every detail of the building has been carefully thought through, from the layout to the design, creating a wonderfully calming and natural space for children to learn and grow. The natural wood construction brings a lovely sense of warmth and tranquillity, while the open-plan layout gives children plenty of room to explore and play freely.
The room offers free-flow access onto a covered terrace, giving children the freedom and autonomy to choose their own activities, whether indoors or out. The room also benefits from air conditioning, keeping little ones cool and comfortable all year round.
The Woodland Room offers a dedicated space for our children in their final year before starting school. Set within a purpose-built pod, the room has everything children and staff need to enjoy a stimulating and inviting environment, designed specifically to support this important stage of their learning journey.
In keeping with our natural wooden theme throughout the nursery, the room offers free-flow access to the garden, giving children the freedom to move between indoor and outdoor learning as they choose. Children also love exploring our large G-Touch interactive screen, using it to research topics they've been learning about, play fun educational games, and even share special moments together by looking at photographs sent in by families always a favourite when a friend has been off on a holiday adventure! It's a brilliant way for children to begin learning how to use technology safely and confidently, all while having fun. The room also benefits from air conditioning, keeping little ones cool and comfortable all year round. Children also benefit from regular access to our onsite forest school site, complete with our very own yurt, where they can enjoy exciting outdoor activities and even help look after our resident chickens!
The Little Lane Nursery (Easton on the Hill) has a beautiful wrap-around grassed garden, along with an artificial laid grass garden dedicated to our baby room. The garden is segmented into various areas, including a construction shed, planting area, sand shed and water pump station, to name but a few.
In the summer months, we love nothing more than to get our Bell Tent out for some cosy outdoor fun! We are also incredibly lucky to have our very own onsite forest school area, Buddleia Grove, joined directly to our nursery site. Here, children can enjoy our very own yurt, a dedicated planting area, and a digging area where little hands love to explore. Buddleia Grove is also home to our resident chickens, who live happily in their Omlet coop, giving children the chance to learn all about caring for animals.
The Little Lane Nursery believes that both the children and ourselves will maximise their nursery experience with a permanent team of fully qualified staff. We have recruited experienced early years practitioners and continually support our staff in updating their skills, training and qualifications (all staff hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and are either qualified or working towards an early years qualification) in order to provide a rich and varied curriculum for our children.
